Enzene Biosciences is a technologically differentiated contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that has positioned itself as a frontrunner in continuous manufacturing with the EnzeneX platform. The system runs from upstream production through downstream processing, and chief executive officer Himanshu Gadgil says that it is generating significant industry interest. Enzene also is expanding into animal health with a facility in New Jersey. The move is set to make Enzene one of the first CDMOs approved by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) for manufacturing animal biologics.
